Announcing an exciting opportunity to join Situations at senior management level with the support of the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.

We are looking to recruit a new Deputy Director who will play an essential part in the company’s growth and development over the next three years. The successful candidate will be a natural strategic thinker, with strong business experience and excellent interpersonal skills, who is enthusiastic about enabling Situations to develop and deliver a high quality programme of work and fulfill its considerable potential as a world-class producer over future years.

The Deputy Director will play an essential part in leading the strategic development of the organisation with the Director, Claire Doherty. The Deputy Director will enable Situations to fulfill its mission to open up the potential for artists to make extraordinary ideas happen in unusual and unexpected places, inspiring audiences and participants to explore new horizons. By effectively overseeing the administrative, legal, staffing, operational and financial management of Situations, developing the organisation’s income generation activities in new and creative ways, and nurturing our stakeholder relationships and networks, the Deputy Director will ensure business growth and resilience, enabling Situations to thrive.

Salary: £40k
Contract type:  Initially offered on a fixed-term, three year contract, full-time

Situations are offering travel bursaries of £150 each for writers to attend our October workshop in the Public Art Now series and to contribute to the Public Art Now blog.
