Alex Hartley is offering a rare chance to acquire an artist’s edition and support the production of a new book on Nowhereisland

18-months on from Nowhereisland’s incredible journey, Alex Hartley has launched a Kickstarter campaign that aims to raise funds so that he can produce a beautiful publication and tell the story of how this small Arctic island journeyed south in search of its people – a lasting legacy and a tribute to all the citizens and contributors from around the world who added their voices, got involved and took ownership of this truly public artwork.

Kickstarter is an online crowd-sourcing platform that helps bring creative projects to life. People who back Kickstarter projects, like Nowhereisland: The Book, are offered rewards in exchange for their pledges. To raise the money for this project Alex has produced several new editioned artworks, three of which are made from material from the actual island. Alex now has just 30-days to meet his target required to produce the book.

A message from Alex

To help get the word out Alex has produced a short video which details his plans and also offers you the opportunity to reflect on this inspirational project. Please take a few minutes to watch it and to visit Alex’s Kickstarter page where you can take a look at the beautiful editions you can buy to help support this fantastic campaign.

Nowhereisland began as a crowd-sourced nation and together with Alex, we really hope you can join us on this final leg of the Island’s journey, to come together and collectively create a permanent record of Nowhereisland.
