This event launched Locating the Producers an international research project (2006-2010), which investigated processes of commissioning contemporary art. Two opposing teams were assembled to debate whether commissioning perverts the artistic process.

The event involved anecdotal evidence and critical statements for and against the commissioning process with interjections from an independent moderator. At the end of the day the public audience were invited to vote for the winning argument.
