Special guests Fourthland will be hosting our November lunch club in the Situations’ studio on Tuesday 4th November 1-2pm.

Fourthland, produced by artists isik.knutsdotter, is a London based research-led art practice. They work primarily in public space, involving communities in long term collaboration. Using performance as a process to interrupt thought and immerse groups in new ways of sharing, they make objects as prompts for conversation and as responses to research.

Their research interests include architecture in social and built environments, the role of language and sound, tacit knowledge, questions of collectivity and the importance of bringing the art object into the public realm.

Join our guests next week to hear about their recent research The Collective Tongue, alongside their long-term project FreeSpace on the Wenlock Barn Estate, London.

We’ll also feedback on our recent Folkestone workshop – On The Edge: Taking Risks in Public Art – and will look ahead to the Creative Time Summit. As usual please bring along your lunch and we’ll supply the teas and coffees. Spread the word and very much looking forward to seeing you all there.
