Development Co-ordinator, Patrons of New Art Bristol

Together with Spike Island and Arnolfini, Situations have formed a consortium to nurture a ‘culture of philanthropy’ for the visual arts in Bristol, by actively cultivating a community of patrons and corporate sponsors across the South West region. Having secured a £150,000 grant from Arts Council England's Catalyst Arts: building fundraising capacity scheme to seed fund a long-term strategy for building patronage for the visual arts in the city, the consortium wishes to appoint a freelance Development Co-ordinator to work with all three organisations in the development of the Patrons of New Art Bristol scheme over the next two years.

The role is based on a day rate fee of £200 per day (equivalent to £31k p.a.), 3 days per week – initially based one day at each Bristol-based organisation each week. It is offered on a freelance basis with a maximum term of 23 months.

Application information is to be supplied by the lead organisation, Spike Island. To apply, please submit a CV and covering letter to Isabel Jones, Spike Island's Office and HR Manager, by email or by post to the address below, marking it ‘Private and Confidential’.

The deadline to apply is Thursday 4 July at 12pm. Interviews will take place on Thursday 11 July.

Address for postal appplications: Spike Island, 133 Cumberland Road, Bristol, BS1 6UX
